When rejuvneating the vulva, often the hood is excessive and creates additional folds of skin or a fullnes over the clitoris. Debulking or hoodectomy can be done either as a stand alone procedure or combined with a labiaplasty. In my practice, it only adds around $600 more to the entire costs. Hoods can be excessive centrally over the clitoris or lateral and one or both can be addressed at the same time. The trick here is to NOT expose the glans of the clitoris to avoid chronic irritation. If you're concerned about this, it will be discussed during your consultation and it does not increase your recovery at all.
